Subject: Anyone watch market to market??

SW MN and Gold Canyon AZ
For those of you who haven't seen the program its on public broadcasting fri nights and sat noon.
Anyway, Doug Jackson was on last night and he talked about the market NEEDING 15 million more acres ,otherwise thes high prices will not go away until the supply problem is solved. He was REALLY bullish ,said "Dont sell anything" Unless the Gov unloads CRP acres (10 million)
If I sell anything it will be minimum price contracts or puts. Its hard not to lock in a 5$ floor for corn and 12$ for beans. Prices are not that far away for one to do that. One could easily floor a 800 $ gross on corn.
RA insurance could cover 600$ ---160 bu x 75% =120 bu times 5$)Depending on ave. feb prices. We are already @ 5$. The harvest price option gives you a one month put option in nov next fall.
I think corn could be good price next fall. There are ALOT of seed beans being ordered, more than usual.
I even have farmers asking about varieties for beans on beans. Bean acres will be larger than anticiapated.
ALOT of orders coming from South Dakota.
