Le Sueur VIA St.Thomas | I decided not to trust my old HDD, so I bought a new Western Digital 150GB internal hard drive; SATA 10,000RPM 16MB Cache. It shoud be plenty fast :) After installing the HDD and XP, I went to 'my computer' only to see that my new HDD is now named (F:). I assume this could be a problem in the future, and it probably explains some of the errors I have already received.
Now what? Should I run it like it is and finish installing everything? Should I try to get my drive renamed (c:)? I installed enough programs to get online to search, but thought I'd ask here also. I tried changing the drive letter under disk manager, but it didn't work. What do I need to do to get my main HDD back to (C:)?
TIA -jim
ps: still working on the old HDD-slave issue (old HDD is SATA), but I want to get my new setup running before pressing on. | |
