Local Fire Dept. has been looking into purchasing additional SCBA kits, looking into some refurbished units ranging from $750-$3000.  Seems the price difference is in the "code year", 1997 being the most cost effective and 2007 the most spendy.  Other than the obvious age differences and "newer is better" mentality does anyone know what difference there is from one to the next?  Our preferred approach is to phase out older units and get more of the same/compatible with what are currently in use now, for ease of bottle change-out.  TIA
