| I checked some rye this morning after two consecutive nights of upper 20 degrees. Rye is knee high and some heads are showing. I pulled some stems and split them open. The hollow stem below the head had frost on the INSIDE of the stem. This can't be good. I don't grow a lot of wheat and we don't get these late freezes often, so I haven't seen this before. Time will tell how bad the damage is, but would welcome any opinions. | |
