Subject: JD 9200/9300/9400 planetary gear question

Binbrook, Ontario
just wondered if anybody had some roughness on the three main planetary gears on the front axle of a deere 9000 4wd tractor. Had the outside wheel bearing go and some filings got into the planetary. i was wondering if i could reverse those three big gears (they are simmetrical, i tried one and it will fit) so that the smooth side would be in contact with the stub shaft instead of the slightly rough side? i asked my service tech and he thought it might be OK but was not basing that decision on experience.
