N/E Iowa | The bobcat with the 2 speed is nice, never had a two speed before. About 6 mph in low, 13 or so in high.
The H&S spreader is my first H&S, Grandpa, dad, and I have always had New Idea spreaders, I went to trade in November at the "local" ACGO dealer and they said they don't make New Idea anymore??? So I drove 40 miles the other direction and bought this 310 H&S. I believe this size with the top beater was $15,750.00. I hauled 30 loads roughly so far and like the way it spreads.
The Barn was built in 1922 with the farm buildings, I will take a few pic's later, It was used to milk cows until 1976 (stantion) 35 head at a time. Then in 1978 until 1987, we farrowed hogs in there, and then lastly we raised bucket calves from 1987 till 1999, where now it's used for storing 58 round bales of our "good" hay ..Alot of memories over the years in that barn! | |
