Subject: Ray Jenkins Fort Dodge IA corn basis 2013

Dayton, IA
Any insight would be appreciated, we have been really blessed by biofuels here in Webster co. I can go north, south, east, or west from my house and hit an ethanol plant within 25 miles. Now Cargill is adding to that demand. Was just planning for 2013 in my head and would assume a tighter basis at this time next year, but it is kind of hard to imagine with the positive levels we have already seen this year. 2004 was my first crop after college and I remember for a few years -.30 basis was something you jumped on if you could get it. I'm loading the truck now with corn at .15 over. Thanks for any reply, you are probably as knowledgeable as anyone on the corn market in Iowa.
