Got a note in the mail today from a absentee land owner, Haven't seen them in years. Just send a check for next years land lease every december. Opened the note and our check fell out. I thought great they aren't renting it this year.
  We gave every one a 50 percent bonus since the prices are pretty good and yields were good. They sent back the bonus check  and said just continue on, May have a bad year to throw in there.
  Have had some great land owners through the years some we have been blessed to rent from for more than 40 years. They have been a pleasure to work with. When I read some of the stories on here about the rent wars and mis-use of land I am thankful.
