N E Illinois | I will be installing a row of bunks in front of an 8 ft slab of concrete. The cattle will stand on the slab to eat.They are U bunks 20 inches tall. I plan to set the bunks at the edge of the concrete and pound 1 1/2 rebar for verticle posts and weld 1 1/2 rebar for the horizontal bar.
How deep should I pound the posts, how far apart. and how far above the U bunks? My feed man says 24 inches above the edge of the bunk. I will use it for finishing holstein steers, broods cows, and colored calves all sizes, not all at the same time of course. | |
