Subject: 4440 ps split, what else should I look for?

S & Way E PA
Long story short, I believe the C2 went in my 4440 ps. Only put 100 hours on it since I bought it last December, so it may have been weak when I test drove it and didn't notice it. Anyways, I need to split it and pull that front assembly out of the bellhousing and check it out. This tractor has 6100 hours on it now. While I'm this deep and I don't need it back together right away, what else should I check for. Any easy to see ticking time bombs or good preventative maintenance? Anything else I should check in the ps?

Also have steering issues that I posted about before, rebuilt metering pump, checked valve block, so I going to replace the o-rings and I think the spring and pin in the motor up front. My water pump pulley oscellates a good bit, so I'll probably do the water pump since I'll practically be there.

This first tractor purchase has already taught me a lot, both mechanically, and what to look for next time!

I appreciate the help!
