Subject: Junk wood projects

East central Iowa

I like to make things with wood that seems worthless or of quality that is lower.  Partly because I'm afraid of ruining a perfectly good and expensive piece of wood.  A couple of friends had some left over plywood and some short 2X4's and were just going to burn them.  I was happy to get them because there is always some place you need a short piece of wood.

As it turned out we needed a vanity for a house and I was able to use the junk wood to make one.  After it was painted it looks as good as one for $100 or so and my investment is about $12 + time.  Upside, other than that is it fits where we wanted and is a lot better quality so it's unlikely to be damaged.
