Subject: Repairing JD orginal brown box display

Does anyone know where I can send one of my original brown box displays to be repaired or I can get parts for it. I am having no luck with John Deere in getting it repaired. The monitor works fine, except the screen will go blank after being using for a length of time. It seems like the display is losing power and should be fixed rather easily.
Also, I am being told by my local dealer that the only JD receiver that will work with the new GS2 2600 display is a new iTC receiver. Does anyone know if this is true? This seems to me not to be correct, because in theory the new monitor should work with any JD receiver that will correctly attach to and communicate with it. But also, it would be just like JD to develop a product that will only work with new JD stuff and force growers to buy all new stuff, instead of allowing farmers to buy only components that they need.

Thanks for any help;
