southcentral nebraska | Still no line here in central Nebraska at the elevator. Should be the peak for beans, no wait. Neighbors are bringing corn to town and not storing it on the farm. This is probably a sign of much lower yields , and most grain is coming off irrigated ground . I think this countrys grain supply is shorter than everyone thinks, even me . The USDA and the crop insurance people have done a great job keeping a lid on the prices , but not for long . This is the peak of harvest and the elevators are not that busy . | |
