| I am not getting a reading on the fan monitor on my 1420 combine. Nothing looks out of the ordinary, so the assumption is the sensor is bad.
I have the service manual, but it does not give the specifics on how to test. I am thinking I should be able to test with a multi-meter.
Is there a resource that is available that tells how to check these ? How about oil pressure sending units, coolant temperature units etc ?? They are getting expensive to change out and I am not one to just change parts until the problem goes away. I would rather only change the defective part(s).
My dealer is over an hour away and stocks the bare minimum. Which makes having a correct diagnosis even more important.
