Friends with ADM and Cargill told me that farmers are trying to get out of contracts left and right. The corn is not there.
It looks worse each and every day here. It started with the curling of the leaves, but now it is firing. I hate to even guess what the yields will be in this area where 200+ is common.
I'm hearing whispers of 1988 levels, and there were fields of beans that out-yielded some corn that year.

I truly think a national average near 100 bpa is realistic. Call me crazy, but I've driven 300 miles north and south, and it doesn't look any different than it does here. In many places it looks worse.
The smoke and mirrors show can only last so long.
