Subject: septic tank install. leaking at the seam.

NC Iowa
installed a 2 piece concrete tank today. on delivery, i noticed it had a chip in the corner on the top half. had everything all ready to go, go pretty much commited to set it and hope for the best. figured some extra tar strip would seal it. wrong, it leaked. tank supplier came out later and covered outside of seam with 'hydrolic concrete' similar to sackreet. still leaked, but not near as much.

is this the stuff to use to fix the leaky chiped area with? is so, i will pump the water out to below the seam and try again fron the inside.
is there something that might be better? hot day to install a tank and kind of a bummer not to be able to finish the job today because of this.

guess i should have rejected the tank, and had a new one brought out. would have had an open hole over the weekend then, and might have had a big rain.!
