Subject: Japanese bettles

I'm in eastern Iowa and am seeing lots of Japs in the beans. They are starting along the edges and moving in . Never seen this before. How bad will they get? I would like to think a heavy rain would wipe them out , but well you know that won't happen. What insecticides will get them and have some residual? I suppose a ground rig or airplane would both do the job. The beans are looking good so of course something has to go wrong. Thanks.
