Subject: Tobbacco in Illinois.........

west Tennessee
Purchased a No - Till Wheat drill from two fine gentlemen up in Mill Shoals Illinois yesterday and was amazed to see their neighbors were growing tobacco, and lots of it.... looked really good, much better than the plants I had seen earlier this year in Tennessee and Kentucky. The farmers told me that they were taking in a net profit of over 2000 dollars per acre...... 4500 was the gross with 2 G's in expenses.... Also saw some fantastic soybeans and a little corn although the bulk of the corn was already harvested..... we were told their corn went 170 and beans were 40 to 65 BPA.

just my observations............ Dave
