Came through there late yestersay afternoon on my way home and ran through some severe thunderstorms in that area. WInd, hail and heavy rain between Lincoln and Springfield on I55, then wind and heavy rain between Springfield and Jacksonville on I72 and another downpour at the Valley City bridges over the Illinois River. Just wondering how much rain it actually amounted to. Looked like alot of water standing in the fields between Springfield and Jacksonville. Got home and my gravel road was still dusty. A good slow soaking inch or two sure would be good on the crops right now.
