Instead of waiting for Sunday to take mother out for lunch/dinner we are going to a movie and supper/dinner tomorrow.

It's a celebration and special day that doesn't have to be dictated by somebody else.  And it's a lot more fun when you don't have to wait for an hour or be packed in with a lot of people you don't know all of them talking at the top of their lungs capacity.
