South Central PA | Had a question after reading about the poor seed stand in crop talk. We currently run a 12 row Landoll 4400 planter and know that we are upgrading to something with bulk seed till next year. When you guys speak of seed spacing not being quite as good as you'd like it to be because of seed bounce with or without firmers what kind of variations are we talking? Also having no no-till coulter in front of the row unit, generaly speaking will the units do a good job of getting into the soil with the leading edge disk like our Crustbuster drill does? | |
