Subject: Should round bales that have been rained on.....

Urbandale Ia, (but originally from SE IA)
be left outside once they've been wet, or does it still pay to get them inside.
My concern is, if they've absorbed some moisture (twine wrapped not net wrap) will stacking them on top of each other lead to mold and heating problems. I know the amount of rain will have some significance....a couple tenths should dry off fine.
I'm planning to put up a hoop shed for hay. Was supposed to be done the last week of May/first week of June, but they haven't shown up yet, said maybe next week. I've tucked every bale I could in every nook & cranny of the cattle barns and stacked some up and covered it with a cheapo plastic tarp, but still have about 40 bales outside. Sounds like we might be in for several days of wet weather here.
