This morning I opened up the last of the small odd patches of grass before starting regular pasture rotations. I thought it showed the difference between grazed and fresh along the line where I took up the wire. One problem with this lush early grass is they get the squirts and end up soiling more grass than usual so I have not been pushing them to clean it up as much as usual before giving them some more. I have been giving them just one days worth at a time or they would soil more. I am still amazed at what you can do with a single hot wire and cows that respect it. Here's a picture. There is a nice mix of red clover under the taller grasses. Jim at Dawn
