Subject: Draining a dehumidifier ?

kirkton ontario
In my basement of my older house is my forced air propane furnace, it has a condensate pump on it that has a float in it that pumps the water up to the drain for my septic lines. I don't have a floor drain in this part of the house. I want to put a dehumidifier in this part of the basement, can I plumb the dehumidifier into the condensate pump on the side of the furnace? What would the downside of this be?
Thanks for your thoughts
