Anybody irrigating heavy black ground? APH is around 200. Wondering what kind of yield response could be expected on an average over several years. The only heavy black ground fields around here that are irrigated are the ones raising seed corn, so not a lot of info is available. I have a good water source. A few things that would be nice is apply nitrogen with it and also insuring a normal crop yield on a dry year, maybe seed corn contact. Also, let me know the disadvantages of a pivot.
