Subject: "eye" for hydro-swing doors?

Chebanse, IL.....

Hydro swing doors seem to be a good idea, especially if you're wanting/needing the width & height they make possible. However, one common concern seems to be that of a vehicle being parked in front of the door as someone enables the door OPEN switch. The door will swing into whatever may be parked in front of it and damage the door & vehicle. So, is there a way to put an "eye" across the path of movement of the door? Something like overhead garage doors have? I realize that the beam would probably have to shine parallel to the door and not be attached to the door. Situated maybe 6-8' out from the door?

Anyone know of such a device being offered?

Thanks
