MN | Hey everyone, don't know where to post this so here goes: We belong to a small country church and our membership is getting older and smaller. I'm on the committee to "nominate" (select) new officers, etc. It is nearly impossible to get people to hold some of these positions, many which meet once a year at most. We only have about a half dozen younger families/couples/active members under 40ish and a dozen or so active members that are older but less than 85. Many are on multiple positions/committees (4 for me) which doesn't seem right either. People are just not interested in being involved even those who come to services regularly. Anyone else have this experience and what do you do about it? | |
