 News didn't have it quite right. They were pushing the auger by hand where they always store it. But this summer the electric company moved the line,it was raining and they were in a hurry. Nobody looked up and the auger was to high.

Woman electrocuted, 2 hurt in farming accident

GIRARD -- A Conneaut, Ohio, woman was killed in a farming accident in Springfield Township on Tuesday.

Cynthia Benn, 53, was electrocuted when a grain auger that she and others were rolling on a farm at routes 5 and 215 hit a utility pole, and a power line fell onto the auger, Erie County Coroner Lyell Cook said. The accident was reported at about 10:50 a.m., he said.

Two other people were injured in the accident, Cook said. They were identified by state police as 32-year-old Shaun Benn and 55-year-old William Holliday.

Holliday told police that Shaun Benn was able to free himself from the auger and pulled Holliday and Cynthia Benn from it.
