Subject: N/E Iowa test plot #'s

N/E Iowa
CORN, 32,000 population, planted 5-10-11 (38#'s of corn here is top five) Fayette county I.A.S. plot.

(1) NK68B-3000gt 240 bpa 18%
(2) Pioneer 210 hr 238 bpa 16.5% (new # 102 day)
(3) Dekalb 61-88 232 bpa 18%
(4) Cropland 6125vt3 228bpa 17.5%
(5) Cropland5891vt3 212bpa 17%

**** This plot is on lighter soils, with NO fungicide, and corn on corn. Plot average of 202, and had 70 to 80 mph winds blow through 3 weeks prior to harvest flattening all but 8 of the plot #'s, and those 8 even had down spots in them. Had ALOT of heat this summer, and was well pleased with the results other than the down corn from the strom that did it's damage..

SOYBEANS planted 5-17-11 harvested 10-6-11. Planted at 140,000 30 inch spacing. No fungicide, two passes of touchdown in june and july. Here are top 5 of 30 soybean #'s

(1) Asgrow 2232 70 bpa
(2) Asgrow 2031 68.5 bpa 9 to 9.5% moisture
(3) N/K 25-T8 66 bpa
(4) Cropland RT 2489 65 bpa
(5) N/K 20-Y2 64 bpa

***** Soybeans looked great all year, after hearing some early reports of 75 to 80 bpa beans i had my hopes high. But I can't complain on the overall results. Plot average was 61 bpa, and 9% moisture...... Yep 9 % moisture OUCH.... Again light ground (66 CSR soil) but a good HONEST check for farmers to see and compare. No aphids, one # had SDS horrible and that was N/K 19-A6,(52bpa and was thrown out due to it being dead 3 weeks early.... I like the looks of the N/K 20-y2 ready to yield bean.

Thanks for looking, and feel free to ask any questions i might have missed.
