Subject: Anybody know anything about lime sulfur?

Urbandale Ia, (but originally from SE IA)
or lime sulphur..not sure which it is. Never heard of it until my dad asked me to try to find him some.
He had heard somewhere that it works as a rodent repellent. He took his camper out to our pond and has been getting field mice in it. (He had sprinked "COMET" brand houshold cleaner all the way around the thing thinking that would repel them...not sure where he came up with that idea, said he'd heard it was supposed to work).
Asked at the Orscheln's farm store. They didn't have any, but suprisingly, the lady knew what I was talking about. She said I'd probaby need to contact a Ag chem dealer to get it, but thought it was restricted use, so I'd have to have a chem applicators license to get it.
Hmmm...must be some nasty stuff if she's right.
Seems like we're always talking about ways to get rid of rodents and birds on here, but I've never heard lime sulfur mentioned before.
Maybe he should try BUBBLE GUM.....if it works for gophers, why not mice!?!?!
