Ottawa Valley, Eastern Ontario | Our youngest daughter (16 yrs old) is heading off with her team to St. Catherines tomorrow for Ontario basketball championships. They are in the single A division and are seeded second. Anybody else have a daughter involved in this? The top two seeds are both from Eastern Ontario so it is possible that the top medals might go east of Toronto this year. The top seed is from Elgin, Ontario.Last week they came second in the Eastern Ontario finals which were played ironically in Almonte , Ontario which is the birthplace of James Naismith, the inventor of the game of basketball. I sure do enjoy watching her but taking 3 days off work to go is a bit much. Her older sister goes to university in St. Catherines so she will be there to cheer her on. Two of our daughters have been involved with school basketball and I think it's been a great experience for them. Here's hoping that the North Grenville Knights will bring home the gold. Go Knights Go.
