Saronville NE | Had a cow special today, we went to. Some bargains to be had, was kinda surprised, but then some sold real well also.
60 head of Fancy red angus 1st calf hfrs bred to red angus calve in feb 45 days, Mostly 1650, but last group was $1550
Pairs were the buy of the day, 2nd 3rd, 4th calve cows with 250lb calves at side fancy all the way around $1550 all day long
2nd 3rd 4th calf cows bred for feb/mar calving fancy $1450-1460
Now the buys IMO anyways,
Solid mouth cows 1250-1350lb cows feb/mar calving $1000-1200 blacks and red angus
Spreaders and short term cows if fancy $1000, if avg $710 ta 875
Red angus solid mouth cows bred char for jan calves fancy $1100 I bought all those
Red angus/blck mixed fancy spreaders/solid 1350lb cows jan calves $985
Sold some mixed black and redX and charX cows spreaders and short solids $710, right on the scale.
Overall some buys IMO. Well I better go get the portable chute ready, and move some cattle around yet, got 2 pots of these cows coming yet tonite.
