Subject: Waterproof basement walls

King City, Mo
We poured the basement walls yesterday and i am making plans on what to do for water proofing.

I plan on useing:

For the pipe as the black tile has a tendency to crush after years.

Then a 2-3ft of washed rock on top of it.

The builder suggested rubberized asphalt professionally spray applied...to the tune of $1700

My inlaws used masanory tar and our builder says all that does is crack...i was looking on lowes webpage and found this and it has good reviews.

The house is on top of a hill in the middle of a bean field. The floor of the house is 5ft above the orginal height of the ground. aka we hauled the dirt out of the basement and packed the clay 5ft tall to make the garage floor the same as the house. Also took the dirt from the walk out up to there.

House is in Northwest Missouri.

Thoughts? Ideas? I'm all for doing it my self if it is something that i can do to lower the cost of the house without lower the quality.

Thank you in advance for your support and help.
