Help! got a 16 ft mowing deck on a sp cutter going into some really good ryegrass and clover crops. The machine has the conditioning rollers open right out and we're only doing 7-8 km/hr ( down from 15 km/hr) . The cutter performance is fine considering the heavy crop but we are having massive trouble with the swath left behind. we are leaving it as wide as possible but have broken twenty tines in 60 acres on the tedder. Has anyone got any ideas as how to spread the swath coming out of the cutter to the full width of its cut? Is there a Kit or add in we can put on our cutter?
I thought some of the guys doing alfalfa might know.
