How fresh is the turkey litter?

If it is not fresh (actively releasing ammonia), I think that you will not loose much N because the red clover will help to scavenge N that moves into the soil between now and spring.

Have you had good success with spring plowing in your area? If not, you may want to consider late fall tillage.

Before we started planting a lot of radishes, we normally disk ripped redclover in late November ahead of corn.

Thanks jbgruver We could plow in spring with much less sucess till we started with litter and sp1 bacteria and keeping the ground covered all the time with cover crops or our main growing crop amazing the lesser amount of erosion with the plow versis chiselplow and notill corn bean rotation when we were growing conventional crops without litter and bacteria and so on, ps we hadnt plowed for 25 years till we started the no chemical farming,
