| just saw where you asked about 15" wheat.
mine made 65bu. burnt down with paraquat and planted. topdress N and harmony. needed spraying before i planted beans with ignite, for marestail and some pig weeds. opted to wait and run classic. some spots was run away by then but they recovered nicely.
mikes made 105+. he disked and broadcast then ran harrow. sprayed with two diff fungicides, harmony, karate, and coron. no weed pressure at all. his wheat was under the irrigator and looks like he may have 50+ beans. that will be a home run.
we had different var. his was 26r22 mine was an exsegen something or other.
looking back if i would have had 26r22 it would have been better i believe. along with some N at planting also. not giving up on it completely. may try again. if i try it again i will make sure that i have no operating debt from previous year. that extra 40 bushels would have went along way for paying bills. | |
