Subject: Central Texas Hay

Aggieland
Wife has a few(3) hay burners and I was wondering if anyone else in Central Texas is having a hard time finding hay. We normally store 40 idiot cubes and let them graze on a round bale. Cant find either right now.... Bought a dozen squares last week at the feed store for $11 a bale, ouch!!! They said that hay had come from Mississippi. I thought I had found some rounds in the Valley but they're all sold out too. Looks like this drought is gonna break my bank. If anyone in central has two or three horse quality rounds theyd part with please let me know. Weve been getting about 3-4 weeks off a 4x5 round. Sure could use a slow moving hurricane right into Galveston and have it stall over Waco. Hope everyones doing the best they can and I really feel for the cattle farmers that are having to sell off their entire herds because of this drought. Sure makes my troubles trivial in perspective.
