Subject: Making memories with our parents before it's too late...tips on traveling to TN?

Drumheller, Alberta

Mom's got dementia, and Dad's starting to slow down now to...but we'd like to make some memories with them, while we can all still enjoy it. They've always wanted to go see The Great Smokey's, and Southern Gospel music is a HUGE part of their lives. They've been married 51 yrs, have sung together at weddings, funerals, anniversaries...you get the point... and now we're planning our first trip to TN, possibly into NC, Branson...and seein's how we gone that far east, we might as well take in Moline, IL before flying back to Calgary, AB. Anybody have any tips or "out of the way" highlights that we should check out? We'll be gone a total of 18 days - Nov 28 to Dec 15.

We're thinking about renting a cabin in the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area for 5-6 days, then possibly only a couple (or 3) nights each in Nashville, Branson, and Moline. Really don't know much about NC, so open to suggestions.

TIA
