Eastern Iowa | Have an old friend looking for a backhaul- wants to haul small squares out of the midwest to Texas as he's been hauling cattle north. Have some hay cut we will bale tomorrow, don't want to screw somebody suffering from drought but we need enough to make it worth the hassle as its selling well here too. Looking for a price per ton that could be realistically expected. |

Eastern Half of Kansas | Why wouldnt you just price for the going price in your area(eastern Iowa)? Assuming you are looking to sell it anyway. I dont think it matters what it is selling for in Texas unless you are the one selling it. |

Wallis, TX | Small squares of horse quality will fetch $7& up around my parts. Most of that will be going to horses in Houston area. Delivered and stacked in barn add a buck or two. Feed stores are around $10 but some are selling hay at cost to lure in feed customers. |

MN | sold some last week ~160/ton, pure alfalfa some bales were sunburned a bit. that is loaded on a semi, buyer handled all trucking costs and arrangements. for what its worth he is selling it there for 3x what he paid me. If you have pure alfalfa I would take no less than $10/bale if it is sitting in TX. |

| Price it off Dyersville, buyer pays freight. The calls I'm getting seem to think that price is reasonable and moving some hay into the south for the first time. |
