Subject: Downy Mildew in Sunflowers?

Denhoff,ND right in the center of the State
I have been scouting my sunflower fields and noticed alot of Downy Mildew plants, did a went on the NDSU website and seems the conditions have been just right for the crap this year, kinda new to sunflowers didnt know what it was so contacted my seed dealer and he told me it was downy mildew, My sunflowers were planted on CRP ground that I broke up last fall, the sunflowes on ground I plowed look really good, very little down mildew, the fields that were just disc last fall have alot of it, leads me to think the spores are in the sod chunks and the plowed has no sod chunks because its underground, what your thoughts on this.
