Eastern Ontario | Has anyone done this? Apparently it's big business. You can turn an abandoned barn into a breeding area for pigeons fairly easily. I have no experience with raising pigeons, but the buggers do quite well on their own, so how hard can it be. My info tells me that a pair of pigeons will cost me $200 and they will produce 10 saleable chicks at $25 each per year. Original pair is good for 10 years. That looks like 9 years of profit. A pair of racing pigeons goes for $500 and sell for $50 a chick. Also 9 years of profit. Fairly expensive to start off, but the profit is there. Unless I'm missing something. Any experience out there? Local guy startup The pigeon King
