Subject: flying on cover crop for cow wows

North Mo.
Son dc beans on my wheat ground so I am looking to fly on a something to complement the corn stalks this fall/winter for a fall calving herd. Here's what I have done in the past with marginal results cereal rye, annual rye, turnips, and maybe something else I can not remember. I realize flying on is highly dependent on the weather and I guess I have the luck of the Irish. I am leaning towards the cereal at this time. Any ideas on seeding and availability of seed? Ben
