Most of the answer I was looking for was there, you expect 1 ton of earlage per 20 bushel of corn yield. Question, Is this 1 ton adjusted to 30% drymatter or 35%, or as harvested, and if so what is typical harvest dry matter. Also, what grain moisture content do you try to harvest at. And with that chopper that you have, is there anything you can do to include or exclude the stalk above the ear. These dairies are acting like they are going to harvest ear and husk only, like they exclude all stalk. Theyve never done it before. I'm a little skeptical they can do that with a Claas chopper. Maybe with a combine, but they want to do what you are doing.
If others have input, thanks also. | |
