Subject: raise pivot drops in corn?

southwest idaho
what do you pivot guys do when your corn grows above your drops? do you leave them alone or try to raise them. I have seen waves especially bad in the inside towers where every other drop is used. I have draped the hose over the span, wrapped the hose around the pipe but just wondering if coverage by raising them is more important than the extra evaporation. What are your thoughts?
