central mississippi | Hey guys im new to agtalk and it has very informative to read your posts. I was thinking about getting a center pivot and using a pond to supply water to it. My question is do i need a pump to supply enough pressure to the pivot if my pond is located at a higher elevation than the pivot. I was looking at a low pressure system 1/4 mile long. How high above the center pivot would the pipe exiting the pond have to be in order not to use a pump and just use gravity? The pond would be located about 2500 feet from the center of the pivot. I am just learning about irrigation so any responses are welcome, thanks patrick. | |
