appears to be a long drawn out ordeal.............
at the bottom of the kc article it show estimated crest compared to 1993...........its funny because they whole article talks about not comparing 2011 to 1993, yet many of those estimates look to reach or top 1993..........the flooding from KC to STL might not be quite as bad, but I still have to wonder given the expected rainfall patterns the next few weeks and a prolonged release could spell more trouble...........
I happen to witness the 93 flood from Orrick to Hardin............words or pictures don't really describe what happened, and to this day as you cross the MO river on the new bridge at Lexington you can peer out onto that river plain and still pick out ever scar from that year............hard to imagine it happening again in less than 20 years.............
