Subject: MM G1000 Vista engine problem

I was using my new to me MM G1000 Vista yesterday on stalk chopper, saw the oil pressure gauge dropping fast. I ran the engine out of oil, yes i checked the oil before I started, but fortunately stopped the engine before any lower damage, I think, occurred. It sounds like a piston may be scored  or slapping a little. The injector lines are REALLY tight. Only #4 and #6 were able to be loosened. I was afraid to put any more pressure on the others to check which cylinder is bad. Any thoughts or ideas??

Oil is getting into the water in the radiator and it seems to pressurize the radiator. There is also a big increase in the amount of blowby. I would not think the seal in the water pump would let that much oil into the water in a short period of time. Any thoughts or ideas??

I want to get some pics after it is back healthy for you MM fans. It is a straight, original Vista that did not seem to be abused.

Thanks, Jim
