Clark SD | I am trying to figure the output of a fertilizer spreader by using the opening of the gate on a spinner spreader. By going by the gate opened 3 inches and gate width of 8.5 inches and the apron travels 13 inches per revolution of the apron shaft i come up with 11.51 lbs material per revolution of the apron shaft of 60 lb/cu ft material.
By doing the math i came up with 2.08 lbs material per revolution using the charts for the spreader figuring the revolutions of the apron shaft per acre and the output from the charts.
Does any body know if there is a factor i can use to estimate the output from the gate using the figures in the first paragraph?
