Subject: Spraying and running over soybeans

SE MN Still in Pothole Country
Last few years have post-sprayed our no-till soybeans in 20 inch rows with an older non-cab tractor set up to straddle four rows. That is to say the tractor is on 80 inch centers with 16.9 tires. Got a new bigger sprayer and do not want to spray with the old tractor. The tractor I spray 30 inch rows with has 18.4 tires. This year about half our beans are in 30 inch rows and half in the 20 inch rows. How much will it hurt soybeans in about the 2nd trifoliate stage to run over two rows every 60 feet? Best option would be to put 14.9 taller tires on the tractor leave it on 60 inch centers and straddle 3 rows with the tractor. Would have to move sprayer tandems in or out 10 inches put that would be simpler than adjusting tractor tread. I might just get a 30 inch planter better suited for no till next year. I did plant some no-till beans with my 30 inch 7200 this year and only knocked off one chain per 35 acres.
