South Central Kansas, Harper County | OK, finally got the wheat to feeding pretty well. A combination of these three things, seemed to do the trick. Lowered the feeder drum to the lowest position. Adjusted the timing of the auger fingers(they were off quite a bit), adjusted the stripper wear plates. Worked 500% better than the day before! I think the auger finger timing was the key, but we did all three adjustments, so don't know which was the most important? We were going to add a half link to the feeder chain, to extend the feeder closer to the auger, but didnt have any half links. I will have some today, if we decide we want to do that, but it is running so much better than the first day, we might not take the time.
Thanks to all that contributed with their suggestions@
